MindSpot GP services

Working with you to improve your patient's access to free, quality psychological treatment.

MindSpot GP builds upon the existing services offered through MindSpot by fostering a collaborative care approach with referring practitioners.

MindSpot GP supports your patients in identifying any symptoms of anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, chronic pain, chronic conditions and sleep-related issues and recommends the most suitable treatment course.

All referred patients will have access to:
Free and confidential psychological assessment

All referred patients will receive an initial invitation to complete an online psychological assessment to help our therapists understand symptoms and potential psychological distress. Patients will be provided with a report which can be downloaded and shared with referring practitioners.

Easily accessible Teletherapy

Delivered via telephone with up to four mental health care sessions with our therapist. This treatment is goal orientated and focuses on the current need of the patient, helping them develop practical coping strategies to manage symptoms and improve overall well-being.

Therapist guided online treatment

MindSpot GP’s treatment courses are i-CBT programs that have been designed for patients who want to follow a structured, proven approach to recovery from depression, anxiety and stress. Delivered online over 8 weeks, these treatment courses have been carefully evaluated in clinical trials and are suitable for patients who want to learn skills and coping strategies to manage their symptoms.

Our online courses are therapist-guided, where patients can choose to have weekly sessions with a therapist to support them through the course or complete the course independently.

Patients in Western Australia who have been referred through their GP have access to additional services such as:
Assertive follow-up

Patients receive assertive follow up phone calls from MindSpot GP therapists to support their care journey. Therapists then provides an update to inform the referring practitioner of their patient's progress and treatment plan.

Peer support through eFriend

Patients may be able to access up to 15 virtual peer support sessions while undergoing a MindSpot GP Treatment Course. Speak to a MindSpot GP therapist to see if this option is suitable.
