The Indigenous Wellbeing Course is a culturally-adapted treatment course tailored specifically for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island communities.

Meet the Indigenous Wellbeing Course

This 8-week course aims to empower Indigenous Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander adults through teaching practical skills to manage symptoms of depression and anxiety. The Indigenous Wellbeing Course aims to provide Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with information and treatment in a manner that is respectful, dignified and minimises feelings of shame. The lessons are completed online and offers support from a trained mental health professional throughout the course. You can choose to receive weekly therapist support during the course, or you can choose to contact us when you need to.

Who it's for: Indigenous adults aged 18+ experiencing symptoms of low mood, anxiety, or stress

Is this for you?

The Indigenous Wellbeing Course is recommended for people who:

Are Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander adults aged 18 years and older 

Are Australian residents.

Experience symptoms of low mood, depression, stress, social anxiety, panic attacks or excessive worry.

Have at least four hours a week to spend working on the course and practising the skills.

The Indigenous Wellbeing Course is NOT suitable for people who:

Are currently suicidal - Get urgent help

Are not Australian residents

If you have very severe symptoms we strongly recommend that you see a GP and a psychologist and/or psychiatrist for assessment and treatment. 

We recommend discussing this course with your GP or other health professionals to ensure it's the right fit for you. Your GP can provide guidance and help you make an informed decision. You can also begin by completing our online assessment, which offers insights to support your conversation with them.
