Meet the Chronic Conditions Course

This Chronic Conditions course is designed to help adults learn skills to manage the impact of living with a chronic physical health condition and improve their overall wellbeing. The lessons are completed online and offers support from a trained mental health professional throughout the course. You will be able to schedule regular appointments or make online contact with your therapist each week, can reach out when you need support, or complete the course independently. Your therapist will help you get the most out of treatment through checking your progress, answering questions, and providing support.  


The course is free, confidential, and can be completed flexibly in your own time. The goal is to help you improve your emotional wellbeing and quality of life and to maintain your day-to-day activities as much as possible.

Is this for you?

The Chronic Conditions Course is recommended for people who:

Are 18 years of age or older.

Are Australian residents.

Have a diagnosed chronic physical health condition

Have a condition that is impacting their emotional wellbeing and day-to-day activities

Want information and skills to help them manage the impacts of their condition/conditions

The Chronic Conditions Course is NOT suitable for people who:

Are currently suicidal - Get urgent help

Are not Australian residents

If you have very severe symptoms we strongly recommend that you see a GP and a psychologist and/or psychiatrist for assessment and treatment. 

We recommend discussing this course with your GP or other health professionals to ensure it's the right fit for you. Your GP can provide guidance and help you make an informed decision. You can also begin by completing our online assessment, which offers insights to support your conversation with them.

This course aims to provide the information and skills that you would normally receive from a clinical psychologist if you attend a specialist treatment facility. While the course is not designed to ‘treat’ or ‘cure’ chronic physical health conditions, the information and skills covered have been found in 100s of research trials to be essential for people living with these conditions.
