Clinical Psychologist – Education Manager
Following successful development and growth of our virtual mental health services, Access Macquarie Virtual Clinics have an exciting full-time opportunity for a skilled and innovative Clinical Psychologist - Education Manager. Our MindSpot and PORTS Clinics provide online assessments and treatments to Australian adults with anxiety and depressive disorders. To assist our continued growth, the Manager will help design, implement and evaluate all aspects of staff training and ongoing professional development.
This role will offer the right candidate an exciting opportunity where your expertise will take our Clinics’ innovative training models to the next level and support our business’ strategic objectives. The Manager will play a key role in developing and rolling out a new student placement initiative targeted at engaging students within the medical and clinical psychology schools.
You will work closely with management and be responsible for ongoing evaluation of the clinical and procedural training of staff. Passion for learning and quality are keys to succeeding in this role. Job Description and Responsibilities:
Partner with key stakeholders to analyse, design, deliver, and evaluate AMQVC innovative training resources and programs to ensure ongoing staff training and professional development is consistent with the strategic objectives of the organisation.
Provide induction, orientation, supervision and training of staff to facilitate their smooth transition into the AMQVC Model of care. This includes training in the use of policies, procedures, processes including IT processes required for assessment and treatment of patients.
Develop and maintain competency-based assessment and training tools to assist staff in maintaining, developing and updating skills and knowledge.
Manage all aspects of inducting, training, and supervision of clinical placement students.
The successful candidate will be an innovative, self-starter, whom ideally possess and can demonstrate a blend of the following attributes, skills and experiences:
Essential Selection Criteria:
Registered Psychologist with endorsement in Clinical Psychology
Accredited as a board approved clinical supervisor with the ability to provide supervision to 5+1 and 4+2 interns, Psychologists and Master of Clinical Psychology Registrars
Senior Clinician with a minimum of five years’ experience working in mental health
Demonstrated skills and experience in working with patients with anxiety disorders and depression, including skills in the delivery of treatment and crisis plans, using evidence based psychological models.
Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal skills and manner.
Ability to engage, motivate, train and supervise staff to achieve the organisations strategic objectives.
An eye for detail, with an ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines in an evolving environment.
Prior experience in online or innovative mental health services.
Demonstrated skills in identifying, designing and implementing innovative training programs.
